April 26
Transfer week was last week. I GOT TRANSFERRED! JOKES..
i didn't this is my 3rd transfer in Moncada! and i get to kill Sister Laiti
here! (as in she dies as a missionary with me....as in she goes
home...i'm no killer....) Since i get to kill sister Laiti here..that
will probably mean i get to stay in moncada for atleast 12 more weeks! Which is
great because i really love this area! There are finally miracles happening
here! We had a 14 yr old girl named Monica come up to us and asked us if she
could be baptized....She was taught about a year ago so we are just reteaching
her and preparing her for baptism...She is also staying with the Ward's Bishop!
it's perfect! We also found out the little girls that told us they were
moving, last-minutely (is minutely a word?) decided not to go, so we are
continuing their lessons! Ruby is still doing great! She has such a strong
testimony and we got to meet her asawa yesterday! There are two kids in a part
member family that want to be baptized, but can't because of their school. but,
with our ward missionaries, we had a testimony meeting with them. Genisis and
Daniela's testimony was short and very simple but they stated the few truths
they did know, and it was powerful. I'm thankful for the Holy Ghost that
testifies to our investigators. I know i'm not who converts their hearts; it's
the spirit and without it, missionary work would be dead.
Yesterday we worked with the ward
missionaries again. They had referrals so we decided we would visit them
yesterday. Well.....the first on lived like 5 miles out in the bukid
(fields)....when we got there, they were all asleep so we just OYM'ed around
their house for like 10 minutes and headed to our next referral. There were no
trikes so we had to walk in 103 degree weather all the way back...we then
walked to another referral who has come to church a couple times. She just had
a baby like 5 days ago so we got see her beautiful little boy. we walked
and walked and walked! We ended at Genisis and Daniela's house with the
testimony meeting. I'm so thankful for the testimonies of the ward missionaries
and their hard work.
This week i also found out an
awesome remedy...So i've been battling my cold for awhile now...i got a sore
throat from all the coughing buuut one of our favorite Tatays that we visit a
couple times a week (they're a less active family) told me sour things help
sore throats....he gave me sour mangos (that are still green). So i've been
eating those...they actually help.so those are my new favorite fruit...unripe
mangos.
I also got really tired of our dirty
house so randomly one morning i got up and cleaned everything...since we don't
have a mop i had to just wipe the floor on my hands and knees...so everyone
kept calling me Cinderelly...it was a good time..
well that's about it. Love and miss
all of you! XOXOXO
