Ya..i hope all of you had a merry christmas and remembered
the Savior at this special time of the year. It was great here! We had a big Christmas conference where we
watched the grinch, made christmas cookies, and all participated in the
Nativity. The music was great; each zone had a song and there were some special
numbers too! Christmas was good too....loved my skype time 😊
hope all of you have a happy new year! mahal ko kayo!

Let the rain come down and wake my dreams.
Hello everyone.
This week we had another typhoon and flood. And once again,
the area I was in was the worst hit and affected from the storm…and not only my
zone..as in my personal area...They follow me. Haha
But seriously…it was really frightening. Luckily my
apartment is really high up and has 2 stories pa. So we were ok…but the scary part was seeing all
of our investigator’s houses completely under water. Yes they lost everything 9
days before Christmas. Somehow while we were walking and offering service to
families the day after, everyone had smiles on, everyone was helping one
another and kids were still laughing (playing in the dirty left over flood
water). So just so you can more fully appreciate what these people went
through and how they dealt with it here
is a description of their day: this day
was cold, the water is dirty (there are
snakes, garbage, dead animals, and sewer in it) and they had to walk and walk
and walk with their small children, chickens, or puppies on their shoulders.
They tried to save a few things but 80-90% of their things are now gone. The things they did store “up high”
(probably tied to their tin roofs) were completely covered by the flood. For 2
or 3 days after that, there has still been rain so not much has dried…and it’s
still cold. But as we watched people searching for higher ground, we saw
smiles, we saw kids playing, and we saw people offering their houses to others.
We talked to one brother who is… more than stable. His house is like 4 or 5
stories and he said he had more than 30 refugees in His home. We had the
opportunity to help the Helping Hands earlier today with the relief goods. Even
small children were doing their part….there was no complaining, no “me” or “I”
‘s but just everyone looking for some way to help. I am so thankful for the
opportunity I have to offer these people something, that if they want, they
won’t ever lose. Something that will last them forever…walang hanggang. That is
what this gospel is for. It gives hope and strength and point people to the
open arms of the Savior.
Mahal ko kayo. Remember the reason for the season! Merry
Christmas.
