I just want to say that I'm sorry to hear about the tragedy
in my community. I know they have set a standard for Christians ALL around the
world. Even people here in the Philippines are joined in prayer for you. People
here are moved from the courage in these beautiful people that would not Deny
the Christ. "For behold, their wars are exceeding fierce among themselves;
and because of their hatred they put to death every nephite that will not deny
the Christ." "And I, Moroni, WILL NOT DENY THE CHRIST" I know
that God is mindful of all of you (alma 29:37) and all of the family and
friends that were affected. He is mindful of Douglas County. He knows each of
us and our feelings. I know Christ suffered for much more than just our sins.
He also suffered for our trials, our sicknesses, and every feeling that we can
not handle by ourselves (alma 7:11-13). I know what Christ said is true when he
said "He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life
for my sake shall find it". They will find eternal life. God will save
them. For all of you that are suffering, i have two verses that always bring
peace to my heart. :
D&C 121: 7-8
7 My son, peace be unto thy soul; thine adversity and thine
afflictions shall be but a small moment;
8 And then, if thou endure
it well, God shall exalt thee on high; thou shalt triumph over all thy foes.

rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your
foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his

upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of
misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a
sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall.
I hope you all find strength in these too. I love all of you
and i know God is mindful and loves you.
Here in the mission, we are having miracles continue to
happen. Transfer week is coming up and well...i've been here in Cabiao for 4
1/2 months. 1 more transfer would be great!
