58 Is the number of bug bites i have...on my left leg...i
was too lazy to count the rest of them...My legs will never look the same!!
Anyway.. today we had a Budol fight which is just like a
table with banana tree leaves laid out then there is rice, chicken, fish,
tomatoes, bananas, pork, and different sauces just piled high and everyone just
digs in with their hands...it was great. One elder was like "ahh! i forgot
to wash my hands!" ...he was kidding..then the sister i had been eating
next to was talking and i overheard "Yeah i'm like really sick..i can't
stop coughing" so i started laughing....she wasn't kidding....so Here's to my last meal (not to be dramatic or
anything).
This week we had exchanges again! It was great! I was with
my Lola (granny) in her area in Munoz. We found a family that have such a great
desire to learn about the truth. We also taught a family who's story is sort of
crazy. They live in a "house" that is made up of plastic signs,
towels, and torn blankets; one of their sons has cancer, none of their (5) kids
go to school, the parents don't know how to read, buuut they find comfort in
the gospel and really want to be baptized and even though they aren't
"learned" they are so wise and full of conviction when they share
their testimony! I love seeing the gospel bring happiness to people no matter
what their situation is. I really enjoyed learning from my Lola Sister Scholl.
She is an amazing missionary. I hope to be half the missionary she is one day!
This week i've made friends with lots of animals...one was a
little goat, a couple kittens that were the size of my hand (one fell asleep in
the palm of my hand), and a little duckling....so obviously it was a good
week..
Oh ya some pretty cool foods too.. There is Mr. Keso which
is cheese candy..it was actually really delicious. I also had cheese Icecream
(These phillies love their cheese). OOO and last but not least CHICKEN
INTESTINE...mmm mmm mmm. it was uh ..
interesting....someone from the ward wants to have us over for Bukid Mice...or
field mice...yummy.
OOooo one of my favorite investigators just got her marriage
licence today so her wedding is SET for the 31 of jan and her baptism (along
with her fiance's and cousin's [other golden investigators]) is set for the
14th of Feb! yay! :) I'm really excited for them! they are such an amazing
family!
So thats my fun:) Ooo for these next month i am focussing on
Conversion and Testimonies and The Atonement, and Overcoming addictions/bad
habbits....i'd love to read your testimonies or thoughts or stories on any of
these:) Love all of you!
